Watson Electrical Safety Overview
Our Goal, “Zero Accidents”
Our Company Safety goal is simply put “Zero Accidents.” Our safety program is the tool by which we reach, teach and monitor our progress towards our goal.
Company Safety Results
Statistics are an important indicator when it comes to evaluating a company’s safety results. Statistically the EMR (Experience Modification Rate) serves as a base indicator of achievement and comparison year-to-year. Watson Electrical has continuously been better than the “benchmark” 1.00 figure and stands at 0.75 for the year 2014.
Watson’s OSHA Recordable Rate has dropped yearly for the past four years. Our rate is far better than the National Rate of 3.5% for all industries and the 6.2% rate for the construction industry. Watson’s current OSHA recordable rate is 0.00 for our entire company and the 2013 rate was 0.00 for our construction divisions and 0.17 for the entire company!
Lost Time incident rates can provide an indicator of the severity of accidents that do occur and Watson’s rate reflects the same positive result.
At Watson Electrical Construction Co. we maintain that the prevention of accidents is an integral part of all operations and a major objective of the company, its management team and supervision. Only the active and sincere cooperation of all employees will ensure the successful achievement of this goal.
