Whether you’re a recent high school graduate, considering a career change, or transitioning out of the military with valuable skills to apply, our Apprenticeship and Construction Management Training programs are the perfect starting point for a fulfilling career in Electrical Construction. Let us help you get started on your path to success.
Our In-House Apprenticeship Program is a four-year curriculum with classwork (642.5 hours) and on-the-job training (8,000 hours).
We are an Accredited Training Sponsor in partnership with NCCER. Our instructors are Certified Craft Instructors. Our program is a four-year initiative operating under the Standards of Apprenticeship and registered with ApprenticeshipNC, Virginia Department of Labor, and U.S. Departments of Labor.
A Day in the Life of a Watson Electrical Apprentice
Come along with Zack Buckler as he talks about what a typical day includes for our apprentices.
Zach started his electrical apprenticeship in January 2018. He knew he wanted a career in electrical construction and that the apprenticeship program would be the best way to get it. So, he studied, listened, and worked hard. During his time as an apprenticeship, he excelled and won several competitions.
- 2021 Won First place in the Watson Electrical Apprenticeship contest.
- 2021 won First place at the North Carolina State Fair Apprenticeship contest.
- 2022 Won silver at the ABC Craft National Championship.
Finishing up the apprenticeship program, Zach graduated in the spring 2022.
Zack is currently in the Construction Manager Training program and is looking forward to a great career in electrical construction.
