Competing in the 2023 Watson Electrical Construction Apprenticeship Contest were 3rd-year and 4th-year apprentices Jordan Failey, Charlotte; Freddy Peralta, Fayetteville; Cedric Spruill, Greenville; Martin Aguirre, Greenville; Andrew Jervah, Raleigh; Andrew Brandt, Raleigh; and Ryan Bennett, Kernersville, NC.
Part one: Apprentices test their knowledge of the NFPA – Electrical codes and standards. This year, the test was administered and proxied via a Learning Management System video conference for the first time.
Part two: a timed, live build project that includes reading blueprints, conduit bending, running wire, installation of switches, receptacles, and many more elements of electrical construction.
Everyone’s hard work and dedication have paid off, and we are all so proud of everyone.
