New Commercial Construction Project in Edenton, NC
A familiar downtown Edenton building is getting a major transformation — and a new purpose. The former Sears retail store will soon become the Provalus Center of Excellence, a hub for information technology outsourcing that will bring new opportunities and innovation to the community.
Through a partnership with A.R. Chesson Construction Company, this renovation project will turn the three-story structure into a state-of-the-art facility featuring offices, conference rooms, and open office spaces for a call center. The project not only breathes new life into a once-vacant building but also strengthens the economic landscape of downtown Edenton by creating a modern workspace designed for collaboration and growth.
Watson’s scope of work includes installing a new electrical service, generator, lighting, receptacles, fire alarm system, and raceways for tele/data cables and equipment. These essential systems will provide the backbone for Provalus’ technology-driven operations, ensuring the facility is fully equipped to support the company’s mission of delivering high-quality IT and business solutions.
As construction progresses, the Provalus Center of Excellence stands as a shining example of how revitalization projects can energize local communities — combining historic preservation, modern infrastructure, and forward-thinking design to power a brighter future in Edenton.
