Located on a 24-acre site, the new Medical Examiner Complex for East Carolina University will encompass 25,280 square feet and provide specialized space designed to support forensic, diagnostic, and academic functions. The facility will include advanced laboratory and imaging capabilities, a BSL-3 containment suite, enclosed transportation areas, and dedicated workspaces for pathologists, investigators, fellows, and support staff. Designed to strengthen regional forensic infrastructure and education, the complex will serve professionals, students, and communities across eastern North Carolina.
