The Wilson Community College Biomanufacturing Education and Skills Training (BEST) Center, awarded through Barnhill Contracting Company, is a 29,600-square-foot facility designed to support workforce development in Eastern North Carolina’s growing life sciences sector. Set to open in January 2027, the center will feature classrooms, bench-scale labs, and bioprocessing suites that replicate real-world manufacturing environments, providing students with hands-on experience and advanced training opportunities.
